Plastic processing is developed with the development of synthetic resin, which promotes each other with the development of plastic machinery. Many plastics processing technologies are based on rubber, metal and ceramic processing. The history of plastic processing can be traced back to the 1890s. After the birth of celluloid, because of its flammability, it can only be molded into blocks and then machined into sheets, which can be processed by thermoforming. This is the earliest plastic processing. Casting molding was successfully studied with the advent of phenolic resin; injection molding began in the 1920s, and was used to process cellulose acetate and polystyrene; in the mid-1930s, the extrusion molding of soft PVC was successfully developed, and the single screw extruder for plastics came out correspondingly; in 1938, the twin-screw extruder was also put into production. In the early 40s, polyurethane foam was prepared and blow molding technology was used to produce polyethylene hollow products. In 1952, the reciprocating screw injection machine came out, which made the injection molding technology enter a new stage. In the 60~70's, the newly developed plastics processing technologies include various new ways of forming reinforced plastics, such as winding, pultrusion, sheet molding, reactive injection molding, structural foam forming, profile extrusion, sheet solid phase forming, CO extrusion, CO injection, etc. In the 1980s, plastic processing is developing towards the direction of high efficiency, high speed, high precision, energy saving, large-scale or ultra-small, ultra-thin and so on. Computer technology has entered this field and raised the whole plastic processing technology to a new level.
